Severe Injury Dashboard

Construction remains one of the most dangerous industries in the U.S. In addition to having one of the highest rates of fatal injuries, construction workers annually suffer hundreds of thousands of nonfatal injuries. Since the start of 2015, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has required employers under its jurisdiction to report all  — defined as an amputation, in-patient hospitalization, or loss of an eye. Reporting of severe injuries because many states do not fall under federal OSHA jurisdiction due to operating their own occupational safety and health programs, which have different reporting systems.
